Tips for Writing to Board Members
Members of the School Board welcome your correspondence (letters or emails). Constituents provide valuable information that helps them make decisions.
Consider these tips when writing your letter or email or preparing to call their office:
Letters, emails and phone calls should be brief and specific.
Clearly identify the issue your are concerned about and tell them how you want them to respond, i.e. "Please vote in favor of fully funding the visual and performing arts program.
Be sure to tell them if you are a parent of a student in the district and which school they attend.
Express your appreciation for their time and actions on your behalf.
Request a response to your correspondence
Include your name, mailing address, telephone, number, and email address.
