Plettner-Saunders is guided by three key principles:
Learn . Facilitate . Lead.
These three principles are the policy by which projects are both sought and selected. Consulting opportunities must address one or more of the following:
1) Provide research opportunities that strengthen both the consultant and the client's knowledge base;
2) Enable the consultant to facilitate outcomes for more effective client productivity and success; and/or
3) Strengthen the client's leadership abilities either as an individual or as an organization.
Both client directed projects through RFP's and networking are sought in addition to the development of consultant-driven projects - those that help the consultant become a stronger consultant, facilitate change and provide civic leadership.
